Liebster Award 2012

Good Morning Y'all!! So the lovely ladies of Babes in Velvet nominated P&P for a Liebster award! I am so thankful ladies! It makes me happy knowing that others appreciate (or tolerate) my thoughts, ideas, and general randomness.

What's a Liebster award you ask? We'll its an award given out to up and coming bloggers with less than 200 followers.

11 things you don't know about me:
1. I am only child.
2. I played the clarinet in high school.
3. I lived in California for about 3 years. Wish I could go back.
4. I bought my first house at 29. And I'm ready to sell 2.5 yrs later. Any buyers?
5. My 1st pair of expensive shoes was 9th grade when my mom bought me my first pair of Doc Martins. I was so cool!
6. I'm oringinally from Ohio, but have been in Texas since I was 8 months. And yes, i have quite the accent.
7. I've owned 7 cars since 1998.
8. I'm a natural red head, but I dye my hair various shades of red depending on the season.
9. I'm obsessed with Gossip Girl. I've read all the books and seen every episode.
10. I don't have my ears pierced and probably never will.
11. I own over 70 nail polishes.

1. How do you define your style in one word?
Unique.

2. Who is your fashion icon?

Gwen Stefani

3. What's the one makeup item you can't live without?

Mascara- Maybelline Full N' Soft in Very Black. I have white blonde lashes that without mascara are non-existent.

4. What is your dream pair of shoes/heels? Or What's the most comfortable stylish pair of shoes you own?

Hands down Christian Louboutin. The red sole makes my heart swoon.

5. What do you do in your free time?

I love to take pictures. I don't have a super fancy camera, but i love taking photos. I wish I could do it all day long.

6. What sports do you practice to stay in shape?

I dabble in pilates. Maybe do a little walking/running. Oh, and shopping.

7. What is your dream job?

I would love to either own a shoe boutique or be a professional closet organizer.

8. If you just won $10000, what's the first thing you'd do/buy?

Boring, pay off all CC's. But those beautiful Loubs above & a few other pieces from Neimans.

9. Why did you start your blog?

I've always been obsessed with fashion. Mostly shoes. My friend Pepper and I could talk day and night about shoes, but I felt like i needed another way to get my ideas out there. This need pushed me to create Platforms & Peep-Toes. P&P gives me an outlet for my obsessive & sometimes crazy ideas. P&P allows me to be creative in so many different ways, that I just don't know why I didn't start blogging earlier.

10. Name on of the best articles you've ever read on a blog.

I can't think of 1 specific article, but I can think of 1 specific blog that is the best to me. Everyday for the last 3 years I've read Cupcakes & Cashmere. Not a day goes by that I don't read her post. It's wonderful to watch someones blog progress from a hobby to a full time career. her blog is such an inspiration to not just myself, but to thousands of other bloggers.

11. What is your worst nightmare?

I could say being caught in a snake pit, being naked in public, but why not share a weird phobia/nightmare that I'm sure i'm the only person in this world could have. Ok here goes. I am scared of stickers. Not those stickers that get stuck to your pants or shoes when you walk through that grass. But stupid little stickers you would get from teachers for doing a good job. Yeah those stickers. I am physically repulsed by the sticky substance that makes things sticky. My worst nightmare would be to be covered in those stickers. Gross. Go ahead, I know. I'm weird!
