CHANEL DOES DALLAS
Today's the day. Our lovely city of Dallas gets invaded by the most prestigious (& coveted) brand on the planet, Chanel. This is Karl's annual fashion show that is always presented after Fashion Week is well over. I wish I was one of the chosen ones who received the above invitations to attend the event at Fair Park. But alas, I am not. I'm trying to imagine all the fabulous people who are going to be there. I'll be there fabulous person in my office stalking #ChaneldoesDallas hash-tag on Instagram all day.
Anyone know if there will be a live feed? Maybe? Yeah, probably not.

GWEN STEFANI x OPI
Most everyone I know, knows of my admiration (re: obsession) with Gwen Stefani. I've been a huge supporter of hers since I first saw "Just a Girl" way back in the day. From L.A.M.B. for Le Sport Sac to her own L.A.M.B. line to No Doubt to Hollaback Girl, I've supported all endeavors. And now that she's collaborating on yet one more thing I obsess over, OPI, I know I'm going to support it. The line is slated to come out in Jan 2014 and I can't wait!
Visit OPI.com for more information.

BAUBLEBAR BLACK FRIDAY SALE
I'm not big on Black Friday shopping. I find it hard to fight people for the best sales right after giving thanks for what I have just a few hours prior. However, BaubleBar changes that ideal, especially since I can partake of the sale in my PJs while sitting on my couch watching HGTV! Too bad I don't wear earrings, however, I do love my necklaces & bangles! So if you want to get me some new shiny jewelry, i'll take them all!!! Enjoy ladies!

PILLSBURY MAKES MY GLUTEN FREE DREAMS COME TRUE
Earlier this year I found out (by trial and error) I have a gluten intolerance. Due to my various autoimmune issues, my body dislikes gluten and lets me know by giving me vicious headaches, tummy troubles and sleepless nights. It's something I had wondered for years because anytime I would eat something with gluten in it, I would have the issues listed above and then some. I would have such severe bloating if I ate a sandwich for lunch, I wouldn't eat dinner. So I decided to give up gluten to the best of my abilities. But tell you what, you'd be surprised at what food products have gluten in them. I've managed to replace most items in my daily routine, but the hardest was chocolate chip cookies. I am a chocolate chip cookie maniac! I would deal with the headaches and other issues to eat them. But imagine my surprise when I found this tub of GF cookie dough today at Tom Thumb. OMG so good! I've had various other types of GF cookie dough and they all were too sweet & too dry. I know this is a blog dedicated to shoes & fashion, but I couldn't pass up this opportunity to share this wonderful find.
Pillsbury also makes GF pie & pastry dough, as well as pizza dough. I think with this new find I will try to tackle a homemade pie for Thanksgiving this year. Or those pumpkin flavored cinnamon rolls I saw on Pinterest today. Now I am going to go eat those chocolate chip cookies. Or at least whats left of them.
Bon Appetite y'all!!
IT'S NEVER TOO EARLY FOR NEW YEARS
It may not be December yet, but I'm already starting to think about New Years. Still don't know where I'm going or what I'm doing, but I do know that whatever I buy I want will be fabulous. And these 4 dresses from TopShop are topping my list of must wear. The green sequins is my favorite and I'm just imagining it with black tights and ankle booties.
Have you started shopping for your New Years looks yet?
SHOW YOUR ANKLES SOME LOVE
It's finally cold enough here in Dallas (with the exception of Sunday, it was 88) for me to rock my opaque black tights and ankle booties. Lately I've been wearing both with a slim fitting pencil skirt and an oversized sweater. Now the pair I've been wearing for a while have a really high ankle which tend to make my already short legs even shorter. So I've been looking for ankle booties that hit right at the ankle or lower. Here's 3 of the most reasonable pairs I've found to date. I did buy the ones from ShoeDazzle. They should be here this week, right in time for the next cold front to come through!
TIP TOPSHOP SHAPE
What's a girl favorite thing? Besides diamonds and a great hair day? Oh a great shoe sale!!! I found these Topshop gems at Nordstrom Rack over the weekend. After passing on them Friday, I went back on Saturday hoping and praying they were still there. And they were there! Now I just need to find the outfit to pair them with. And if it's not until next Spring, so be it. They still look beautiful chilling on my shelf for the time being.

BLUE IS MY SIGNATURE COLOR
It's Friday!!! Anyone else super excited that it's finally the weekend? I have this Zara dress I've been dying to wear out, but I've been waiting for it to get chillier to rock the thick black tights and ankle booties! I love this dress when I bought it 3 months ago and Ladies Night is the perfect night for her debut. And with this strong graphic print, why not carry my little Phillip Lim to add an extra pop of color. You could always rock the black clutch, but I like the added sass with the yellow. Plus the cross body strap allows me to go hands free and dance the night away without having to keep a clutch under my arm and feeling like T Rex throwing his hands up in the air.
EASY, BREEZY, BEAUTIFUL.......GAGA??
I'm sorry, but is that really Miss Gaga up there?? I just saw this photo from Glamour's Women of the Year issue and was taken back by how beautiful Gaga looks. Talk about a fashion genius. One day she's wear a giant chicken mask and the next she's stripped down to the real Gaga. I can't wait to see the rest of the photos. I'm sure they are just as breath taking.

MONDAY'S MUST HAVES
After saving my pennies and dimes for the signature Tory Burch Reva flats, I finally took the plunge and bought the black with gold emblem. After wearing the size 7's for 3 weeks, I had enough and returned them. They pinched my little piggies so bad. I had hoped a 7.5 would suffice, but sure enough that damn gold emblem stabbed the top of my foot with every step. Done. Over it. Moving on. So now I just want basic ballet flats. Nothing fancy. Nothing super trendy. Just basic, everyday flats. I tried on the Tory Burch Eddie Ballet Flats and fell in love. So comfortable and so cute. And best thing, they don't pinch my piggies.
However, I'm doing my research on the best flats for my money before I buy another super expensive shoe that disappoints me in the end.
So what's your favorite basic flat?

DALLAS AURORA
Death of Edison
This past Friday, the Dallas Arts District held its annual Aurora Art Event. Various artist created massive art instillations that lined 19 blocks of Downtown Dallas. And the best part, it was all free. My favorites included Death of Edison (see above skull of lights) and The Singing in the Rain (very last picture) where umbrellas were synchronized to Singing in the Rain. The projections on the Wyly were incredible. I can't wait until this comes back next year. I will be there early to catch every instillation.
Projections on the Wyly
Data Flow-- the yellow neon is made of highlighters
This instillation telling of the lengths people go to to protect children can destroy their childhood. At least thats what I got out of it.

MOST WANTED: PRINTED PANTS
Apparently I am on quite the graphics kick this fall. Between Monday's post and todays post, I should not wear solid colored pants or skirts until spring. Now I have started perking up my fall wardrobe with one of my most wanted fall items, printed pants!! I now own 2 leopard print pants, 1 floral print pants & 1 geometric print pants. The printed pant trend is taking the colored denim to a whole other level. I like this trend because it allows me to be on trend at work without breaking the dress code rules. Lets be honest, I like my black GAP trousers, but they do get a little boring after a while.
Just keep a few things in mind if you decide to jump on the printed pant train:
1- if you wear a printed bottom, wear a solid color top. Even add a blazer for a more pulled together look. **however, you can add a graphic pump like floral & leopard **
2- wear a pant shape that flatters your body type.
ON TREND: GRAPHIC PRINT SKIRTS
I am super excited about the Fall season finally approaching. Time to put away the mini skirts & trade them in for longer skirts. I'm specifically looking to swap the minis for graphic printed pencil skirts. I love wearing them a little higher on the waist with a fuller shirt. You can even do a crop (which is huge for fall) with a higher waisted pencil skirt. Another favorite look for a printed pencil skirt, is the loose fitting t-shirt (no prints or graphics-solid color) or a solid color button up, again loose fitting.
A graphic printed skirt is so versatile. And with the right print, can last through the seasons.
LUST OR MUST: BLACK & WHITE WITH STRIPES ALL OVER
Have you heard this one? What's black & white with stripes all over? The answer: a tough decision. Especially when it comes in the form of an amazing heel. One of these babies is from Forever 21 and the other is the famed Manolo Blahnik. But can you tell which one is $855.00 and which one is $29.80? Yeah, I know. It's tough. But either way, they are both amazing and cute and will jazz up any LBD or skinny jeans.
So which is which?

PURPLE PEOPLE EATER
So I finally received my final Phillip Lim purchase. It took sometime, but after getting up at 6 AM and fighting those crazed internet folks, I decided on the purple satchel. Well maybe not so much decided as the other ones I wanted were sold out. But it's great because I have yet to see anyone carrying this baby. I see the black XL Pashli and the mini yellow (see here)Pashli all over. I won't go into a long description or story about the purse. Let's just let the pictures of this purple beauty speak for themselves. Enjoy!
BLUE SUEDE SHOES 2.0
Elvis may have had his blue suede shoes, but they weren't as fabulous as these babies. I got these babies from one of my all time favorite online shoe stores, SHOEMINT. Her name is Bess and she comes in 4 different colors (magenta, black, gray & blue). As pretty as she is in every color, the blue just screamed buy me buy me. So I did. And so should you. Quickly I tell you. These are the perfect shade of blue for the winter season. So when you're in all black, these babies will add that perfect pop of color to brighten up your look and will turn heads! So hurry and get a pair (or two) before she sells out.
