MOST WANTED: PRINTED PANTS
Apparently I am on quite the graphics kick this fall. Between Monday's post and todays post, I should not wear solid colored pants or skirts until spring. Now I have started perking up my fall wardrobe with one of my most wanted fall items, printed pants!! I now own 2 leopard print pants, 1 floral print pants & 1 geometric print pants. The printed pant trend is taking the colored denim to a whole other level. I like this trend because it allows me to be on trend at work without breaking the dress code rules. Lets be honest, I like my black GAP trousers, but they do get a little boring after a while.
Just keep a few things in mind if you decide to jump on the printed pant train:
1- if you wear a printed bottom, wear a solid color top. Even add a blazer for a more pulled together look. **however, you can add a graphic pump like floral & leopard **
2- wear a pant shape that flatters your body type.
I'm Mad {About Plaid}
I saw these pants last weekend at Gap, and I can't quit thinking about them. Especially the red ones. In fact Gap is having their sale on jeans this weekend, buy one get one for 50% off.
What do you think? Red or blue?
Weekend Wrap Up
We had quite the random cold front come through Dallas this weekend. I wish it could stay longer, but I guess I'll just take this as a preview for what's ahead. The cold and gray weather sent most people to the stores to purchase any piece of warm weather clothing you could buy.
I of course, headed to my favorite places, GAP & Target, to see what goodies I could find. And sure enough GAP was having an additional 40% off the sale price & a sale on jeans. I managed to snag this women's military jacket for about $20! I've been looking for a jacket like this for quite sometime and i scored big time with this one. Target did not disappoint as well. I decided to take home these floral leggings for $12. Cute right? And now that we can wear casual clothes at work for the rest of the year, i'm excited that I can wear these more than just on the weekends.
Did you all snag any great deals this weekend?
Fall Trend: Ox Blood
Ox Blood. Kind of a disturbing trend huh? Ox Blood is burgundy's naughty older sister who is constantly breaking curfew. (see my post on burgundy statement pieces here). I love burgundy, but there's something almost romantic about Ox Blood. Maybe it's my slightly gothic side, but Ox Blood is so rich, it reminds me of the Victoria era. (I keep picturing Brad Pitt from Interview with a Vampire for some reason.)
I truly love red during these winter/fall months, but the same bright and vibrant red I would wear in spring & summer doesn't quite translate into the fall very well. This deep, rich red is such an amazing color for the fall. I prefer to wear it on my feet, nails and in my hair. How will you be wearing ox blood?
{See, even Miss Courtney Kerr is rocking the oxblood this week on What Courtney Wore. Isn't she just fabulous?}

Connect the Dots
As I sit here watching Moneyball, obviously my first thought is how much I want some Kate Spade polka dot heels {size 7}. I just can't help but notice how polka dots are exploding this season. Dots are a great way to add a little flair to an outfit, but keeping it exceptionally girly as well.
Here's a few of my favorite spot on pieces for this fall.
Burgundy + Tassels
I'd like you to meet my newest obsession, Dina. She's burgundy {fall trend alert} and she has a tassel. A TASSEL by golly!! She would be the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe. I'd suggest you click your way here, sign up for ShoeDazzle (tell em I referred you) and get you a sassy pair before they sell out!
{Almost} Famous
So remember how I said I went to the trend even last week and we arrived late due to craptastic traffic? Well D Magazine posted lots of photos from the event. It was good to be able to see some of the looks we missed. And it's even better to see that if you look very closely, you can see that top of my head (trying) to look above the rack. You can see my friend Cheramie really well. See we're famous, well, almost. Click here to go to the D Magazine website to see the rest of the photos from the event. You can also click here to go to Neiman Marcus' site to purchase some of their fall trends. Enjoy!!
