J'AIME DALLAS

On Saturday, I trekked may way down the freeway to my favorite city, Dallas.  This was the last weekend the DMA was showing the Posters of Paris exhibit.  It was such a great exhibit.  I go to the see some of the original french posters, like The Chat Noir, by the likes of Toulouse-Lautrec, Pierre Bonnard & Edouard Vuillard.

After the exhibit, we walked our way over to Klyde Warren Park to have lunch at the food trucks.  I ate the most delicious beef tenderloin quesadilla & sliders from The Butchers Sons.  And I finally got to eat at Cool Haus Ice Cream.  The brown butter & bacon ice cream on a potato chip & butterscotch cookie was to die for.  And since it was such a beautiful day in Dallas, we decided to just walk through downtown.  We stopped at the Nasher for some picture ops and then continued through the Arts District until our feet wanted to fall off.

If you live in Dallas or within 40 miles, i'd make sure to make the trek to the DMA (which is now free to the public) and then spend the rest of the afternoon at Klyde Warren. You will not be disappointed.
